How is Magica different from a traditional automation tool?

Traditional automation usually follows predefined triggers, fields, and steps. It works best when the process is predictable and the connected systems expose the required actions.

Magica supports two different approaches:

Approach

Best for

Super Agent

Open-ended work that requires judgment, browsing, tool selection, or changing steps

Flow

A defined process that should run consistently with new inputs

Super Agent can adapt while it works. For example, it can research several sites, handle different page layouts, compare what it finds, and decide how to structure the result.

Flow gives you a visual, reusable pipeline of models and utilities. You define the sequence and connections, then run it again with new data or call it through the API or MCP.

If a process must start on a schedule or external event, use the supported API or integration method for that system. Do not assume every Flow includes a built-in trigger.
