What are Nodes and the Playground?

Nodes are the individual AI models and utilities available in Magica. The Playground lets you run one Node directly without building a Flow.

Nodes are grouped into categories such as:

  • image generation and editing
  • video generation and processing
  • audio, music, speech, and transcription
  • language models
  • utilities for routing, extraction, conversion, and media handling

When to use Nodes

Use Nodes when you know the specific capability you need and want direct control over its inputs.

For example, you might open a video Node, provide a prompt and source image, choose its available settings, and run it from the Playground.

Each Node page can include:

  • Playground — a no-code form for running the Node
  • API — developer guidance for running it programmatically
  • History — previous runs and outputs where available

Use Flow when several Nodes need to work together in a repeatable pipeline. Use Super Agent when you want to describe an outcome and let Magica choose the tools.
